About the Position

Nortridge is looking for a senior business analyst to help define our flagship loan servicing and loan origination software. The senior business analyst will collect and analyze requirements from different stakeholders, departments, and in some cases our clients. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver artifacts as needed.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Strategic Initiatives Team, serve as liaison between the Product Management group and Development group and collaborate with senior management, developers and subject matter experts to establish the vision for new products and their roadmaps
• As part of Release Management Team, demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting Client expectations and the delivery of high quality and on-time product releases through release scoping and backlog review exercises
• Prepare Technical Functional Specifications and Business Requirements through critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Participate in Business Requirement and Functional Specification review meetings
• Serve as escalation point for Support ticket triage activities on report defects
• Foster effective communication across internal functional teams; work with external third-party solution providers for integrated and industry leading functionality that provides a competitive advantage in the marketplace
• Provide technical support to the QA department to facilitate test case creation and knowledge transfer to analysts to ensure their understanding of requirements and solutions; assist with defining test case expected results and validate product functionality
• Assist Documentation Department to provide clarity and recommended text verbiage for both User and Administration Guides and Release Notes as it relates to functional issues and implementation

Required Skills and Experience

• Loan Origination and/or Loan Servicing software experience
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to draw activity and workflow diagrams.
• Experience using ticketing system JIRA.
• Familiarity and knowledge of writing SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
• Working knowledge and proficiency with Lucid Charts, googledocs, and screen mock-up software is a big plus
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and/or technical resources.
• Steer and push back on requirements that are not aligned with product offering or technology roadmap.
• Ability to conduct in-person, phone and WebEx TEAMS, and Zoom meetings from start to finish.
• Document meeting minutes and distribute to all attendees after all meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Ability to draw activity diagrams.
• Experience using ticketing system JIRA.
• Knowledge of using requirements documentation and tracking systems.
• Familiarity and knowledge of writing SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
